Speaking of characters with beautiful handwriting? In third place is Shinomiya Kaguya from “Kaguya-sama: Love is War”, and in first place… two characters with a reputation for “beautiful kanji” are tied for first place!

September 23rd is “Fountain Pen Day.”
This is a commemorative day that dates back to 1809, when a patent for fountain pen ink was obtained in England.

A feature of fountain pens is that they do not tire the hand even when used for long periods of time. There are characters in anime and games who are skilled at writing. They may belong to the calligraphy club at school, be known for the ease of reading the notes they copy in class, or have a hobby of writing letters.

So Anime! Anime! conducted a reader survey titled “Who is your favorite character with beautiful handwriting?”
The survey was conducted from September 10th to September 14th, and 179 people responded. The gender ratio was about 25 percent male, 65 percent female, and about 10 percent gave no response, so there were more females than males. In terms of age group, the majority were young people, with about 45 percent under 19 and about 20 percent in their 20s.
