It has been announced that the new anime “Mecha Ude” for fall 2024 will be streamed exclusively on the new future TV “ABEMA” from 1:30 am every Thursday from October 3, 2024. It is an original work that depicts a slapstick battle story between an ordinary boy and a “strange machine (mecha)”.

“Mecha-Ude” is an original anime directed and created by animation artist Okamoto and produced by the up-and-coming Fukuoka-based animation production company “TriF Studio.” The story depicts the adventures and battles of Hikaru, a middle school boy who lives an ordinary life, and Alma, an “arm-shaped” mechanical lifeform called “Mecha-Ude” that can move by “delising” (bonding) with a human.

Toyonaga Toshiyuki will play the role of Hikaru, a middle school boy who awakens the sealed Alma, and Sugita Tomokazu will play the role of the memory-losing “Mecha-Ude” Alma.
Attention is focused on the slapstick battle story that the two will play.

The story begins in episode 1, “The Mecha-Arm User,” when one day, Amatsuga Hikaru, a middle school student from Kitakagami City, is led by a mysterious voice calling for help and meets Alma, an arm-shaped mechanical lifeform who has lost his memory. Through some strange coincidence, Alma ends up “de-fused” with the hoodie Hikaru was wearing. Unable to abandon Alma, Hikaru decides to join forces with Alma. Then, a mysterious Mecha-Arm User appears and targets Hikaru and Alma… that’s the plot.

ABEMA, which will be the first to stream this work, will begin streaming the latest episode for free on the ABEMA Anime Channel from 1:30am every Thursday from October 3rd, and will also begin streaming the latest episode for free.
