It has been announced that the entire series of the TV anime “My Hero Academia” up to the latest episode of the 7th season will be broadcast free of charge on the new future TV “ABEMA” on October 12, 2024, the day of the final episode. This will be your chance to binge watch the hero action that is finally reaching its climax.
“My Hero Academia,” also known as “Hiroaka,” is a TV anime based on the hero action manga by Kohei Horikoshi, which was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” for 10 years and finally concluded in the issue released last month on August 5.
Set in a world where the existence of people with supernatural abilities called “quirks” is commonplace, the story follows the protagonist Deku, also known as Izuku Midoriya, as he grows up with his friends at Yuei High School, a prestigious school that trains heroes, in order to become a “hero” who protects society and confronts “villains,” criminals who misuse their “quirks.”
The original manga series has sold over 100 million copies worldwide, with 41 volumes being the latest. Fans around the world who have witnessed the thrilling drama and battles unfolding with Deku and other characters have been expressing their gratitude and praise for Horikoshi and his work.
The seventh season of the TV anime series is currently airing, and the “final battle” between the heroes Deku and the villains Tomura Shigaraki is getting more and more exciting every time. In addition, the latest anime movie “My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: Your Next” is currently in theaters, and as of October 3rd, it has been a huge hit, with 2.42 million viewers and 3.47 billion yen in box office revenue.
Abema will be broadcasting all episodes for free from 7:50 to 17:20 on October 12th, just before the final episode of the seventh season airs, and will broadcast episodes 1 (episode 139 overall) to 20 (episode 158 overall) of the seventh season.
In addition, starting at 11:30 PM on the 12th, immediately after the final episode, all episodes of the 7th season will be broadcast free of charge up to the final episode, episode 21 (total episode 159). In addition, from October 12th to 18th, four episodes of “My Hero Academia Memories” and all episodes of the 7th season will be available for free streaming for one week.
