In anime and games, there are many characters who are engaged in research in various fields, including chemistry. Each character has a different field of expertise, such as excavating ruins left behind by humans, creating medicines to cure incurable diseases, or uncovering the mysteries of how the universe was born .

So, Anime! Anime! will be conducting a reader survey titled “What comes to mind when you think of a ‘scholar character?'” following on from last year. Please answer in free-form, telling us the character and the name of the work you think it is.
