The first product from the “The Quintessential Quintuplets Card Game” is the start deck (5 types in total) and booster pack vol.1. It will be released on October 18, 2024 along with the latest product from “Weiss Schwarzbrau”, the start deck and booster pack “HoneyWorks ~Confession Executive Committee~”.
The Quintessential Quintuplets is a romantic comedy based on the manga of the same name by Haruma Negi, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine until February 2020. The story follows the protagonist, Uesugi Futaro, who boasts top grades in his grade, as he becomes a tutor to the beautiful Nakano quintuplets, who hate studying and are on the verge of failing, and guides them to high school graduation.
The first season of the TV anime aired from January to March 2019, and the second season from January to March 2021. The movie “The Quintessential Quintuplets,” which depicts the school festival, the final event of Futaro and the quintuplets’ high school life, will be released on May 20, 2022, and the story will reach its climax.
Subsequently, “The Quintessential Quintuplets ∽”, a film adaptation of episodes from the original work that were not depicted in the TV series, was released in theaters in July 2023, and from September 20, 2024, a new work “The Quintessential Quintuplets *”, depicting the honeymoon story of Fuutarou and the quintuplets, was released in theaters for a limited three-week period.
The Quintessential Quintuplets Card Game is an original card game that has retained the charm of the series, created under the supervision of the original author, Negi Haruba. It includes illustrations from the original comic and anime series, “The Quintessential Quintuplets,” as well as newly drawn illustrations by the original author, Negi Haruba.
The start deck is a set of cards that focus on each of the quintuplets. It is a pre-constructed deck product that includes the main deck (50 cards), main character deck (10 cards), play mat, and rule manual that are necessary for gameplay. With this, you can play “The Quintessential Quintuplets Card Game.”
The handwritten-like foil-stamped design cards feature the cover illustrations of each of the quintuplets’ original comics, with the handwriting of the quintuplets on their answer sheets embossed in the work. The sparkly SDSP (Start Deck Special) cards are rarely included, so be sure to check them out.
Booster Pack Vol.1 contains a rare serial numbered card with an original illustration by the original author, Negi Haruba. As the highest card rarity, SSP (Secret Super Special), Booster Pack Vol.1 contains Nakano Ichika, an original illustration by Negi Haruba. This special card features Negi Haruba’s foil-stamped signature and a foil-stamped serial number from No.001 to No.099. There is only one card with the same serial number in the world.
The SSP (Super Special) card features a gold-stamped signature of the quintuplets’ cast, using illustrations from the original series. The card features a colored illustration from the original series and the signatures of the quintuplets’ cast members: Kana Hanazawa (voice of Ichika Nakano), Ayana Taketatsu (voice of Nino Nakano), Miku Ito (voice of Miku Nakano), Ayane Sakura (voice of Yotsuba Nakano), and Inori Minase (voice of Satsuki Nakano).
Booster Pack Vol.1 includes an illustration of the quintuplets in their school uniforms, drawn specifically for the anime. It looks like it would be fun to both collect the cute quintuplets and play the game.
The “Start Deck & Booster Pack ‘HoneyWorks ~Confession Executive Committee~” will also be released on the same day. The series project ‘HoneyWorks ~Confession Executive Committee~’ based on the music of the creator unit “HoneyWorks” has appeared in the character card game “Weiss Schwarzbrau”.
The booster pack contains cards featuring original illustrations of Chutan, Narumi Seina, mona, Yujiro and Aizo from LIPxLIP, and YUI, RIO, MEGU, DAI, and IV from Full Throttle4, as well as illustrations of over 30 characters from the “Love Series” and “Idol Series.”
The Quintessential Quintuplets Card Game Starter Deck is priced at 1,650 yen including tax. The Quintessential Quintuplets Card Game Booster Pack vol.1 is priced at 440 yen (including tax) for a pack of 5 cards, and 5,280 yen (including tax) for a box of 12 packs.
